Changing the DNS is a recommended measure that can be extremely helpful to speed up web browsing on any operating system as well as for other aims. One of the good solutions is to switch to OpenDNS.<\/p>\n

How to change to OpenDNS?<\/h2>\n

To switch to OpenDNS you can follow the same guide as for changing to Google DNS<\/b><\/a>. The only difference is IP addresses which must be entered on the final stages. If you would like to use OpenDNS, you should enter 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.<\/p>\n

Switch to OpenDNS for Mac<\/h3>\n

  1. Click on the logo in the top-menu bar and choose the \u201cSystem Preferences\u201d that will appear in the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n
  2. Click the \u201cNetwork\u201d tab and open access to changing by clicking the lock icon.<\/li>\n
  3. Choose Wi-Fi Network and click on the \u201cAdvanced\u201d button.<\/li>\n
  4. Select the \u201cDNS\u201d tab and click on the \u201cPlus\u201d button, which is at the bottom-left corner.<\/li>\n
  5. Add IP addresses of OpenDNS: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.<\/li>\n

    First of all, you should find adapter settings. For this you can open the control panel, click \u201cNetwork and Internet\u201d and select \u201cNetwork and Sharing Center\u201d. The second way is to click \u201cStart\u201d, type \u201cEthernet\u201d in the search bar and select \u201cEthernet Settings\u201d, where you will see \u201cRelated Settings\u201d.<\/p>\n

    3. Select \u201cInternet Protocol Version 4 (TCP\/IPv4)\u201d.<\/li>\n
    4. Click \u201cProperties\u201d, check the box \u201cUse the following DNS server addresses\u201d and then click \u201cAdvanced\u201d.<\/li>\n
    5. Enter 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 in the DNS server fields.<\/li>\n
